Royal Blue Grocery #5

The fifth location of Royal Blue Grocery is located on the ground floor of a high-rise residential building in the Rainey Street District of downtown Austin, TX. It is within walking distance to multiple hotels and residential high rises. The Rainey Street District is a newly developed area, currently with minimal conveniences, like grocery stores and pharmacies, which this Royal Blue location takes advantage of by serving draft beer and wine as well as offering a wide variety of products for the nearby residents. The high ceiling in the space allowed for a mezzanine above the kitchen for the owners to have an office and be able to have a visual connection to the store. The chevron wood siding and full height millwork accentuate the height of the space, drawing the eye upward. All millwork was carefully designed to align and connect elements throughout the space while fulfilling the client’s display and storage needs.
